OnwardPaperPublicationBreakdown
(back to OnwardPlanning)It seems like there's lots of "up in the air" about publication venue for the ITEM papers, etc. (or maybe that's just me???)
I'm going to just start putting ideas up here as an initial point, but really I'm just doing this to get things moving. Not because I'm invested in any one approach (they all seem to have plusses and minuses to me so far...)
two venues, two types
- Some papers are accepted into the "REAL" proceedings. These are papers that the entire PC feels good about, and doesn't think are " cheating" by getting into the proceedings.
- Other papers, that are less acceptable to the main PC, but that are still cool from an ITEM perspective could be accepted as short-ITEM papers, and placed in the companion.
or
one venue, two types
- All the ITEM papers are placed in the companion.
- The main PC does have something to say about which papers are considered "full" or not, and so there are two sets of ITEM papers in the companion: full-ITEM, and short-ITEM.
or
one venue, one type
- All the ITEM papers are placed in the companion.
- The main PC has nothing to say about the papers, and the ITEM PC doesn't feel the need to clear any of the papers by the main PC.
