I'm a professional software practitioner with a life-long interest in many artforms (though not a whole lot of talent for most of them). I was at one time an instrumentation technician, which I consider an artisan, and I believe there are similarities and dissimilarities among all four fields: science, engineering, art, and artisanship. In addition, my wife is an artist by training and inclination, so the worlds collide often in our house.(2004) I will be at OOPSLA this year, for this first time in four years, and would like to attend the workshop.
(2005) I can't be at OOPSLA this year because of family commitments. I'll be watching the Wiki and expecting you all to come up with some intriguing and (perhaps) useful insights.
