After decades of Unix and linux network programming, I ended up 'stuck' in Spokane, Washington, working as a PHB at the hotest WiFi startup ever. While in Spokane, I partially restored an 1888 Victorian Mansion and learned the gentle art of Pastry. (My croissants are pretty good.) The .com I was working for finally blew up, so I sold the house, and the bakery, and moved to Hawaii.

Somewhere in there I rediscovered LISP and decided that I was done with large teams and Venture Capital.

Embedded linux still pays the bills, but thats changing too.
