Q: how does this differ from an OnwardKeynote?
(for that matter: how does an OnwardKeynote differ from an OOPSLAKeynote) - JamesKjx
A: Not sure about James' note, but I thought that the invited talks were going to be the "bulk of the track" (the salon de refuses in a sense...)
JamesKjx: So there will be "real" talks that go in the procedings,
and "invited" talks that dont - salon de refuses? We should talk about this!
EB: Yes! We should - How do you see the program shaping up? I must admit that I haven't looked at the anatomy of previous Onward's, so was putting this together from a basic sense that I had. This is totally up for change ...
JamesKjx: I would much rather somehow encourage more people to write more papers, and take them. Even if we invite people to submit.
I don't like the idea of significant talks without support in the proceedings...EB: Sounds good to me.
JamesKjx: Phew. Now we just have to get space in the proceedings, companion, somewhere, anywhere!
EB: I've taken some of this discussion to OnwardPaperPublicationBreakdown
