Extravagaria Workshop Wiki

Artists and scientists share the most important human goal: the search for truth. Their methods and approaches differ, and their results are in different languages, but there is no a priori reason to grant primacy to either. In educational research, and possibly in other domains, there is thriving work on using the techniques of art - especially creative writing - to explore research questions and explain results. In software, we not only seek truth and reality, we create it. Certainly there is a role for art here. This workshop explores that question.

If you wish to attend the workshop, please contribute to this Wiki, adding ideas and positions so that we have a rich context as our starting point. Add yourself to the WhosWho page, and add a pointer to your thoughts to the WorkshopIndex. Make sure to let me know that you want to participate (rpg at dreamsongs.com).

If you go to Preferences and supply a user name (the Wiki word for your personal Wiki page), Recent Changes will show your name and not an IP address. Also, sign your comments, at least sometimes.

I'm monkeying with the style sheets for the Wiki. Please let me know if it's no good. rpg at Dreamsongs.com. -rpg

I can probably guess which of you wishes to attend the workshop. I don't have all your email addresses, so I will be able to let you know only on this Wiki. If you prefer something more private, please send me some email (rpg at dreamsongs.com). -rpg
